.Guy Geva was born in 1973, and has a B,Sc. in physics from Tel-Aviv University
He has been paintng in oil colors since he was 13 years old
He practiced under the instruction of the artist Shimon Avni and specialized in realism, oil and aquarelle
He also studid art theory at the Open University
Today Guy Geva masters in variety of tchniques, including sketching, pastels, oil, acrylic and aquarelle
He also teaches painting and sketching from his house
During the last few years he became acquainted with the Buddhist world and started focusing on Buddhist painting
Guy Geva has been taking part in goup-exhibition since the age of 17 and has presented several single-exhibition since then
גיא גבע נולד בשנת 1973. הוא בעל תואר ראשון בפיסיקה מאוניברסיטת ת"א.
גיא גבע מצייר בשמן מגיל 13, ובשנת 1991 החל ללמוד רישום וציור בבי"ס "אבני" בהוראתו של הצייר שמעון אבני והתמחה בריאליזם, שמן ואקוורל.
בנוסף למד תיאוריה של האומנות באוניברסיטה הפתוחה.
לפני כעשר שנים התוודע לעולם הבודהיזם הטיבטי והחל להתמקד בציור בודהיסטי. מטרתה של היצירה הבודהיסטית הינה לגרום לאושר ושלווה אצל המתבונן. גיא גבע משתמש בציור הבודהיסטי ככלי מדיטטיבי ליצירת שלווה פנימית אצלו ואצל המתבונן.
בשנים האחרונות החל לעסוק בצילום באופן אינטנסיבי. הוא צילם מאות צילומי טבע הכוללים בעלי חיים וצמחים נדירים, בטיוליו הרבים בארץ.
לאחרונה החל ליצור צילומי סטודיו אומנותיים, הכוללים פילטרים, ללא שימוש בתוכנות מחשב.
בעבודותיו משמש גיא גבע כיוצר, צלם וכאוביקט עצמו, ומשתמש בגופו כחומר היצירה.
